Quality of life is much, much more than just food,clothing, and shelter. It encompasses all the social and emotional aspects of daily life. It includes things like interacting with others, seeing new things, being independent, and expressing oneself.

For handicapped children, quality of life also involves having the opportunity to grow and develop. For some, the difference can simply involve the ability to sit up instead of lying down. For others, it`s a matter of being able to exercise, or just get out and go places independently or with care-givers. In cases like these, mobility equipment can make a tremendous contribution to quality of life.

Freedom to Participate

We value our freedoms - freedom of expression,freedom of assembly,and many more. There is another freedom that is just as important in daily life - the freedom to participate. It can take many forms. For the movement-impaired, it can mean being able to go places and do things with others. For their families, it might mean being able to take trips as a family without mobility restrictions.
